Kathy H. Rogers is the owner of Rogers GPS Consulting LLC, focusing on assisting nonprofits in fulfilling their missions through growth, performance, and success.

Rogers has 25 years of nonprofit executive experience, including successfully managing Mental Health America of Central Carolinas (MHA) in Charlotte, NC. During her tenure at MHA, Rogers secured funding to open a free counseling center focused on serving marginalized communities. The organization thrived under her leadership, growing and adding capacity during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rogers also led the United Way of Henry County & Martinsville in Virginia for more than a decade. While serving as Executive Director of United Way, revenue grew, and the organization transformed into a catalyst for change. While at the helm of the United Way, initiatives focused on early childhood development, nonprofit capacity building and assisting marginalized
populations living in poverty were established.

Prior to joining MHA in 2017, Rogers was the Executive Director of Piedmont Arts in Virginia, a nationally accredited arts museum. While ED of Piedmont Arts, she was able to create an arts education fund to bring arts and performances to schools and youth in the community, create a public art garden in collaboration with the City of Martinsville through NEA funding, and reduce the museum’s debt. While at Piedmonts Arts, the museum received the Virginia Commission for the Arts Shining Star Award two years.

Prior to becoming a nonprofit leader, Rogers was an award-winning corporate communications director for a major apparel manufacturer in Virginia.

In 2024, she started Rogers GPS Consulting to continue to assist the nonprofit community in building capacity through fundraising, strategic planning, board relations and other nonprofit needs.
